The Rightly Guided Caliphs are those four successors who followed after Muhammad the Prophet.
These men were:
Abu Bakr- The first of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the father-in-law to Muhammad.
Umar- Second of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, he was a companion of Muhammad and was not supported by the members of Islam who believed only descendants or relatives of Muhammad could be allowed to lead.
Uthman- Third of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and Muhammad's son-in-law.
Ali- Fourth and last of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and Muhammad's cousin.
These men were:
